If a person I know is planning to move to my city, Tokyo, I come up with many ideas about this person would like and dislike about living in my city, Tokyo. But, as far as I am concerned, I feel that he or she would like convenience and dislike little nature for the following reasons.

The primary reason for my belief that convenience would be liked by this person is that Tokyo is one of the most developed cities in the world, as you know. For example, there are not only many shops open twenty four hours 365 days but also various kinds of restaurants, hospitals and schools. These mean that you have can do what you want to do anytime and have many options to choose from about a lot of things. To give my personal example, when I get hungry around twelve at night, I can go to buy something to eat at convenience store. I can choose my favorite sweets or bread. Of course, there are limits, but if my city is compared to other cities in Japan, everybody perfectly believes that Tokyo is the best. Job opportunities are also available and public transportation is another key factor in our convenience. Therefore, many people come to my city to live and work thanks to these conveniences.

On the other hand, I am sure that little nature would be disliked by him or her, because there is not much nature and too much buildings instead. One example that readily comes to mind happened when my close friend, who went to the same high school as mine in 1997 - 2000, moved to Tokyo from our home town, which is very famous for rich nature. She was very shocked about how less nature there is in Tokyo than that in the home town. She strongly missed the nature and disappointed about that she was not able to walk in forests every morning, because she had made it a rule to walk in a forest every morning in the home town. In addition to that, she said that water in Tokyo is completely different and her skin became very dry with the water. She had to buy a small machine in order to get clean water. I have the same machine too.

Considering the all factors I mentioned above, there is no doubt that this person would appreciate convenience and dislike little nature in Tokyo.

Recently one of my friends will move to Shanghai from New Zealand and she asked me which aspects she might not adapt in Shanghai. I think that it is as follows:

Firstly, she may think that the air pollution is very severe in Shanghai. As everyone knows that New Zealand is a developed country known for its beautiful natural environment. There are fewer industry plants in New Zealand than in Shanghai. So New Zealand is a very clean and beautiful country, just like a garden. However, in Shanghai the air pollution is still out of control. When you come back home from your company every day, you will find that your shoes are covered with dusts.

What is more, my friend may find that the streets in Shanghai is very croweded with traffic. The population of Shanghai is 13 million, which is much more than that of New Zealand. She might find uncomfortable travelling in the streets of Shanghai During rush hours.

Finally, I think that she may complain about some other small things about Shanghai. For examplem suppose she walks on the pavement and will find that there are too many bicycles parked on it which block the sidewalk. Sometimes she has to walk on the street. I think having lived in New Zealand for a long time, these small things in Shanghai may bewilder her.

In a word, I think that my friend will dislike the air pollution, crowded transportation and other aspects of Shanghai. As a Shanghaiese, I think we all should try our best to make Shanghai a better place to live in the future.
